Give Me Some SUGAR!

Troy and I went to New Orleans to go to the game, and what a game it was! We flew in early in the day on New Years Eve. We rested up and waited for everyone else to arrive for our big night. New Years Eve was awesome on Bourbon Street. we even made it on the channel 2 news. We rang in the New Year at the Bourbon Cowboy (The Ute Bar). The next day, Troy and I along with the two other couples we were with, took a city and cemetery tour. We learned about the history of the city, saw the levees that broke, and the homes that were flooded. You could still see water lines on buildings and the FEMA X's on houses. We also went to a cemetery. They can't bury bodies there because of the risk of flooding so whole families are put into tombs. I found this very interesting, but wouldn't want the job of opening the tombs.
The game was amazing!!! We had heard a lot of comments from the Alabama fans of the bloodbath to come. The win was SWEET! The Bama fans started leaving with about 5 minutes on the clock. We were able to see the motorcade of our team buses on the way back to their hotel, lights and sirens and all. I have to say my favorite part was Bourbon Street all three nights and the new friends we have; Corry and Heather Smith and Greg and Kim Cope. We did everything together and loved every minute of it.
